Suicide Noted
I started the Suicide Noted podcast because there was nowhere to talk openly and honestly about any of this, which sucked, and there was nowhere to hear people talking about this, which also sucked. I knew there were others out there like me, living in what I call the space between.
So one summer day in 2020 I sat my ass down at my little kitchen table in Chapel Hill, NC, and started it. These 325 or so in-depth conversations with survivors around the world have changed my life and I hope - even in some small way - they change your life, too.
Some of the realest conversations you will ever hear
I laughed, I cried, I nodded my head in agreement. Real people from all backgrounds and walks of life talking about what it feels like to be human in the context of one of the most stigmatized and least talked about human experiences. Sean Wellington is not an expert or an outsider. He’s just someone who knows how to l...

Loved Olivia’s episode! I especially liked it when you guys talked about how the phrase “you are not alone” is often just total nonsense. It made me realize I’ve definitely been that annoying friend trying to be helpful and failing miserably. Thanks, Sean :)

Necessary work
If you found this podcast, you probably really need to hear it. Sean does great work, giving survivors the opportunity to talk honestly and openly. He wants to help people learn how to talk to people who are in pain, because no one really does that too well. He doesn’t claim to be an expert, he just tries to do it as w...
Read MoreHonesty and Truths Shared
This is a hopeful and helpful show to talk about suicide which hides in the shadows and pain that is pervasive and ever present. Connections to feel not so alone and disconnected from others. Others experiences and real stories are more helpful to me than advice from people who haven’t lived what they write about.

Actually real conversation. Proper
Honest
Sean sets the tone for non-judgemental, thoughtful and honest conversations about a side of the human experience we rarely give voice to.
Grateful for the Voices and Vulnerability
This podcast will change your life. Sean creates a space where guests speak openly and honestly, sharing raw truths that linger after the episode ends.
Light out of Darkness
This is the only podcast or basically the only place where we can truly speak freely and listen to liked minded people. Sean has a true gift and a perfected craft. I have gotten more out of this than any therapy. Truly grateful for you Sean and thank you again for having me on. PLEASE spread this podcast everyone who r...

Very well done podcast.
I’ve listened to almost every episode and it’s always interesting to see how different people deal with a difficult subject. Sean does an excellent job with all his guests.
Thoughtful, Insightful, Informative
Sean manages to take a taboo subject (attempting suicide) and have conversations that are frank, honest, and shows time and again that “suicide attempt survivors” (his words) are normal people. Not just normal, but that we are everywhere and for the most part, you would never know. We are your children, your parents, p...

*If* I survive, this is why. I can’t overstate how important this podcast is.
Thank you Sean for your honesty
I lost my partner, fiance, love of my life, and best friend to suicide on 9/28/2021. Keith never spoke to me about this subject. He had not made any other attempts in the 14 years we were together. He did suffer from depression and possibly bipolar. Hearing these honest conversations with attempt survivors has helpe...

Kynedi Muro this is my story Rogers, AR
Hi my name is Kynedi. On June 10, 2023 I almost completely died. I hated being me. I still do. But I’m trying to get better. I’m 15 years old. I tried committing 29 times. On the 29th time which was on that date. I almost succeeded. I had nothing to eat. And I had lived in Searcy, Arkansas before and while I was there ...
